STOVE PROBLEMS

WON’T TURN ON/IGNITE

When an electric stove will not turn on make sure it is plugged in and that the circuit breaker has not flipped to the off position. If you have a gas model, be sure that pilot light is lit. This problem usually comes from a damage infinite switch, broken surface element, or non-functioning burner igniter. Alternatively, the bake and broil element is not working.

BURNER/OVEN WON’T HEAT

Malfunctioning oven sensors and broken bake elements the common reasons that your oven will not heat up. A burner will not get hot if there is a broken element, burner switch, or terminal block. These are all problems that we fix on a short visit the same day that you call for help.

TIMER/PROGRAM ISSUES

Typically, the control board is broken on a stove when the program settings or timer do not work right. We have the parts on hand to replace control boards for LG, GE, Sears, Kenmore, and other major brand and models of stoves and ranges. We give you a warranty on the control boards and our labor for this repair service.

OVEN IS TOO HOT

A damaged sensor or broken thermostat will make your oven run too hot. Not only will this problem result in burned food but it is dangerous too. Call us and we will send a certified technician to check out and fix the problem. Do not try to fix this one on your own. It is dangerous!

IGNITER WON’T LIGHT

When the stove problem igniter will glow but light up there are several possible reasons including a broken surface igniter, electronic control, temperature sensor, or safety valve. We will check this out and either repair the part or replace it as required.

DOOR WON’T OPEN

Newer self-cleaning of ovens occasionally run through their cleaning cycle and then the door does not open! Call us if this happens and we will send a repairman to check out the door latch, the seal, and the thermostat to find the problem and then fix it.
